Many people enjoy living with the natural products withing their homes. Our Timber Plantation Shutters come in various options of timber species all which have their own unique properties and place in the range. All out timber shutters are are painted with a UV stabilising paint which aids in protecting our shutters from direct sunlight. There is a variety of standard paint and stain options as well as a custom paint option which uses the Dulux Specifier as the reference.
The varieties of timber species include Basswood, Cedar, Paulownia and White Teak.
Basswood
Basswood is from the Tila family of trees. Suitable for interior use only it is a relatively lightweight hardwood that is extremely dimensionally stable. Basswood is also available in the “SUPERSPAN” form which allows panel widths of up to 1300mm.
Cedar
Western Red Cedar is the most exclusive timber in the range. Suitable for both interior and exterior use it is also great for we areas and performs the best of all the timber shutters for very large panels. Cedar is the most dimensionally stable of all the timbers.
Paulownia
Paulownia Rustic (whitewash look)
Paulownia has a Unique open grain with the Paulownia Rustic having a brilliant “Beach Vibe”. Suitable for interior use only it is great in those humid areas.
White Teak
White Teak Heritage
White Teak and White Teak Heritage shutters have a noticeable grain which enhances the beauty of these shutters.
